This morning, Sen. Ted Cruz spoke out against MSNBC and its “I Made a Millionaire” segment.
The segment, which featured Casey Tafoya, Michael Smerconish and Joy Reid spoke about the success stories of some “upscale ethnic minorities,” which highlighted Cruz as a result.
He wrote a series of tweets questioning their description of American ethnic minorities, considering their categories are not the same as Cruz’s. Cruz said that the segment was “needlessly divisive,” and that it “defines Americans by skin color.”
Cruz posted to Twitter, “The Democratic Party & MSNBC is defining American ethnic minorities by skin color, again. We should not be held hostage by their manufactured racial divide. Why make it difficult for Americans to come together?”
He later added “Another example of how utterly desperate the @MSNBC hosts have become.”
